Hello

I'm Mia, a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern—which is just a fancy way of saying I’ve completed my Master’s program and am now working under supervision to ensure you receive the absolute best care.

I specialize in working with teens and young adults, helping clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, relationship struggles, self-esteem and identity issues, and career or academic concerns.

My Story

I'm so glad you’re here! My goal is to create a space where you can express yourself freely, while always feeling supported and accepted. I believe that the first step toward any meaningful change is simply accepting and being aware of who we are and where we are in the present moment.

I have a degree in Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University, and I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my approach. These methods help us better understand and shift patterns that may be holding us back, while also embracing the present with openness and compassion.

What matters most to me is that you feel completely safe and comfortable here. This is a space where you can take things at your own pace. I’m here to guide you, listen, and provide the support you need as we work together to make real progress in your journey.

My ideal client is someone open to exploring themselves with curiosity and honesty, ready to grow, and committed to making positive changes. I’ve experienced firsthand how powerful therapy can be in finding clarity, and that’s what sparked my passion to help others do the same. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, or simply navigating life’s challenges, I’m here to help you understand yourself better and move forward with confidence

Using Out-of-Network Benefits with Mia

Mia is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern practicing under qualified supervision as she works toward full licensure. While she is not in-network with insurance panels, many clients are still able to receive partial reimbursement for sessions with her through their out-of-network (OON) benefits.

We’ve partnered with Mentaya, a platform that makes using OON benefits simple and accessible. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network mental health coverage, Mentaya can submit claims for you automatically—no paperwork, no hassle.

Using your OON benefits with Mia can be a great option if you:

  • Want to work with a therapist you feel aligned with

  • Prefer a more flexible and private approach to therapy

  • Are looking for affordable support while still receiving high-quality care

If you’re not sure whether your plan includes OON benefits, we’re happy to help you check. Our goal is to make therapy with Mia as seamless and accessible as possible.
