Meet Ms. Ciara,
Founder of POP Counseling

Ms. Ciara founded POP Counseling with one goal in mind: making therapy a space where you feel truly comfortable. Like many of her clients, she has faced her own mental health challenges and understands that the hardest part of therapy can be just showing up. Too often, therapy spaces feel cold and clinical—Ms. Ciara wanted to change that by creating an environment that feels cozy and authentic, whether you meet in person or virtually.

At POP Counseling, therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether it’s a long-term journey or a brief step in your process of self-discovery, Ms. Ciara believes that therapy should be a comfortable, collaborative experience. She shares her personality in sessions and encourages you to do the same, so together, you can work on uncovering your most authentic self. It’s not just about “doing therapy”—it’s about feeling seen, heard, and understood every step of the way.

Looking to Utilize Out-of-Network Benefits?

Did you know that you might be able to get reimbursed for therapy even if we don’t directly accept your insurance?

Many insurance plans offer out-of-network (OON) benefits, which means they’ll reimburse you for a portion of your session costs when you see a provider who isn’t in their network. At POP Counseling, we’ve partnered with Mentaya, a platform that makes this process simple and stress-free. If you have OON benefits, Mentaya can automatically submit claims on your behalf, so you don’t have to deal with any of the paperwork.

Using OON benefits can be a great way to:

  • Work with a therapist you truly connect with

  • Maintain more privacy and flexibility in your care

  • Receive partial reimbursement for your sessions

We’re happy to help you check your benefits or walk you through how it works. Your mental health matters — and we want to make getting support as accessible as possible.
